As National Apprentice Week draws to a close, the Dorset Echo presents its Apprentice of the Year Awards.
We asked for nominations from readers for trainees that have gone above and beyond to prove their dedication to the scheme.
From hairdressers, business administrators and laminators to retail workers and agricultural workers we have been flooded with entries.
Here are the finalists for the Apprentice of the Year. The winner will be voted for by the public in a phone vote.
The winner will win £100 towards equipment for their chosen career and a framed front page.
After all the votes have been counted the winner will be announced in the next couple of weeks.
