ROADSHOW: PSL director Clare Jenkins, business and IT team leader at Weymouth College Jim Draper and PSL techinical support engineer Rob Nolan

STAFF from Poundbury Systems Limited have hailed the success of recent roadshows for students and business people.

The firm stopped off at various venues, including Thomas Hardye School and Weymouth College, where pupils from All Saints School also joined in sessions.

Students heard from speakers and were shown around Poundbury Systems Limited's (PSL) hi-tech Cisco Network on Wheels demonstration van.

The Cisco Network on Wheels demonstration vehicle includes latest technology, including video conferencing.

The visits came as the award-winning company also held seminars for businesses at Southwell Business Park and at the Brownsword Hall in Poundbury.

The sessions, called Profit Through Technology, were aimed at showing how businesses can become more efficient, effective and profitable through new technology. Subjects included Microsoft, Vista and Office 2007 software and how it can add business value.

PSL director Clare Jenkins gave a presentation called 'Unified communications de-mystified - the business benefits'. Mike Jenkins, also a director, talked on the subject of 'Green computing: can ecology mean economy?' Mrs Jenkins said that the road shows were 'extremely well received by attendees'.

PSL is based at Emeria House, in Middlemarsh Street, Poundbury.

It is a Microsoft Small Business Specialist, has Microsoft Gold Certified status and is a Cisco Select Certified Partner. It is current holder of British Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year 2007 as well as ISO 9001 and an Investors in People award.
