Website provides updates on exams
A NEW website has been launched to help keep teachers and education professionals up-to-date on GCSE changes.
The Oxford Cambridge and RSA (OCR) awarding body has started the new service to provide support and information.
The OCR says it has launched the site in the wake of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) revising subject criteria for GCSEs.
Parool Patel, who is OCR head of GCSE project, said: "At OCR, we are committed to making sure that the changes are as easy for teachers to manage as possible.
"The website ensures that those affected by the changes have access to the best possible information resources.
"With the launch of GCSEchanges.com our aim is to equip teachers with a fast, effective channel for downloadable materials, published course criteria, draft specifications and up-to-date developments.
"We believe that educational excellence and communication go hand-in-hand. Users will benefit from OCR's ongoing commitment to innovation in qualifications, delivering accessible qualifications which allow teachers to embrace the new GCSEs with total confidence."
The changes reflect an updating of content and encourage development of personal learning and thinking skills in students.
