WATCH out Broadway – St Osmund’s is coming to get you.
Students at St Osmund’s Middle School in Dorchester put on a performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat last month.
It all started back in September with an idea to create a whole school production.
The school said it knew from the outset it would be a big challenge but was excited at the prospect of getting everyone involved and putting on a show-stopping performance.
Students auditioned and spent months rehearsing, before playing to packed audiences across two nights.
A spokesman for the school said the students sang and looked like they were in a West End show. She said: “One parent even commented that she came both nights and the looks on the children’s faces said it all - an explosion of talented individuals all celebrating their achievements together.”
She added that Joseph – played by Joe Morgan, and Pharaoh – played by Dominic Neugent were fantastic.
She said: “A huge well done to all the children at St Osmund’s. Watch this space Broadway - St Osmund’s is coming to get you.”
