MORE than 50 graduates celebrated their hard work and achievements at Kingston Maurward.

This year’s Kingston Maurward College Higher Education graduation ceremony welcomed more than fifty graduates and their friends and families in a celebration of the students’ hard work and achievements.

Degree level programmes included animal behaviour and welfare, outdoor adventure management, marine ecology and conservation, tourism park management and the first graduation of the new HND equine management course.

There were speeches by chair of governors Peter Edwards and principal Clare Davison, culminating in a thought provoking and witty address made by Professor Adam Hart.

The Student of the Year award was presented to marine ecology and conservation student Sarah Bagwell from Sherborne.

Kingston Maurward head of higher education Mat Jarvis, said: “This ceremony is the culmination of a lot of hard work for students, to have reached the end of their studies with such a good set of results, and a proud day for many parents and friends who have supported them.

“Just as importantly though, it is a proud day for the college to see yet more successful graduates from its higher education programmes.”
