MR MACDONALD, Weymouth College's campfire lecturer said: "I am an expert in survival cookery and that's why I am teaching it today."

They have been cooking main courses and mini hot dogs, onions, courgettes, parsnips, carrots and for dessert bananas with chocolate and marshmallows.

We asked a couple of people what they thought of the Camp Fire Cookery.

Tobias Wightman, 13, said: "I'm not amused with the food but otherwise it was an all-round good morning!"

Jessica Hawe, age 13, said: "It's been a rather fun morning but let's just say that the food wasn't fantastic."
