WE'VE just marked the 70th anniversary of VE Day with events held across the country.
So thanks to David Bamber of Dorchester for sending in these timely photographs of himself as a youngster in the county town's Borough Gardens and then again, 70 years later in the same spot.
As you can see he was a very sweet looking little boy in a smart coat, most probably unaware of what all the fuss was about!
He said: "Looking through some old papers I came across this photograph taken on V.E. Day.
"It is of me, just short of my third birthday, standing beside the clock in Dorchester Borough Gardens.
"In the background can be seen the bandstand and some tennis courts that have since been removed.
"We lived at Bovington at the time and had journeyed to Dorchester to take part in the celebrations."
David said when he recreated the photo he forgot to stand on the same side of the clock tower!
*Do you have any photos of you taken as a youngster that you have recreated in the same spot? If so we'd be interested to see the before and after shots.
