THANKS to Karen Venn for more information about the site of the Burton scout hut which we featured last week.
Karen, the now owner of Norburton Hall said: "We bought Norburton Hall in 2005 and the site of the scout hut wasn't included in the sale.
"Before we bought Norburton Hall, our son used to be in the beavers, cubs and scout groups, and in 2000 when we heard that the Scouts were no longer able to use the hut, we raised some funds by walking 163 miles from Minehead over a three week period.
"The scouts stopped using the hut in 2001 and went to the village hall in Burton Bradstock.
Karen said: "We have always been very supportive of the scouts. It was brilliant for the children to be part of, and my son used to go camping at North Poorton for annual cub camp."
"I remember Carl Stoodley was one of the leaders and Pat Tucker and Graham, they did lots with the scouts."
