ANOTHER week, another glorious picture postcard from bygone days to share with you courtesy of Looking Back regular Andy Hutchings.

Here we can see a traction engine, its trailers loaded with stone passing Victoria Gardens on Portland on the way to F.J. Barnes' sawmills in Victoria Square in 1924.

The writer of the card comments 'this is where you land on the bus from Weymouth'.

The vehicle was later owned by Richard Townsend's Amusements of Chickerell and rebuilt by Eddisons of Dorchester as a showman's engine Queen Mary and is now in preservation.
