SINGING superstar Kylie Minogue will take in Dorset in the autumn as part of her upcoming tour of UK and Ireland.
She will perform at the Bournemouth International Centre on Saturday, September 22.
With this announcement delighting those of us here at Looking Back who grew up watching Charlene in Neighbours and following Kylie's career ever since, we thought it was time to cast our minds back to 2001 when Kylie last performed in Dorset.
She took to the stage of the BIC in 2001 fresh from the success of her 2000 comeback which saw Spinning Around reach number one in the charts.
Kylie had just returned from the pop wilderness after taking a left-turn on 1998’s Impossible Princess, an intriguing, experimental album that divided critics.
The crowd lapped it up as she performed the old Stock, Aitken and Waterman favourites and tracks from the new album Light Years including On a Night Like This, Your Disco Needs You and Kids.
Kylie's new album Golden will be released on April 6.
Tickets for the show at the BIC on Saturday, September 22 will go on sale on Friday, March 2 via BH Live Tickets.
