CAN anyone help Looking Back reader Pat Connolly find out more about variety act Harry Lester and his Hayseeds?
This summer show, based on the American wild west, featured a comic character called Goofus, while the star was a Cal McCord dressed in full cowboy outfit complete with two six guns which he fired frequently to the delight of the many kids who came to see him.
Pat has reason to believe that her grandfather was one of Harry Lester's Hayseeds, possibly the one known as Guppy.
"We've trawled through several family photos and seem to have hit a brick wall."
