THANKS must go to Derick Howe, who has sent us a very interesting aerial photo of Weymouth, which is believed to date back to 1936.
The picture was sent to Derick by the late Edward MacBride, a military historian of Wyke Regis, and shows the rail line to Portland and the almost 'unpopulated' Rylands Lane in Wyke Regis, which now has a lot of housing there.
Derrick says he's unsure which type the bi-planes are as he's lost the email. Thanks to him for sharing this fascinating photo.
