Saturday marked the 65th anniversary of the Queen's Coronation.
To belatedly mark this very special day, here's a photo of the Queen as a young princess visiting Weymouth with her mother Elizabeth, sister Princess Margaret and father King George VI.
On that remarkable day, June 2, 1953, it poured with rain but the crowds outside Westminster Abbey refused to be downhearted.
The Archbishop of Canterbury crowned the Queen by placing St Edward’s Crown on her head, while the crowd chanted “God save the Queen”.
With the Sovereign’s Sceptre in one hand, and the Sovereign’s Orb in the other, Queen Elizabeth was officially crowned the monarch.
Millions of people watched the iconic moment for the first time on television.
