A FATHER and son had the experience of a lifetime when they took a flight in a Spitfire.
Roger and Craig Nicholls of Weymouth went to Biggin Hill airport in Bromley for the nostalgic treat.
Roger's wife Esmee Nicholls said: "Roger worked on the spitfire 50 years ago while in the RAF and this was the trip of a lifetime, it was amazing, emotional and utterly unbelievable and I was only watching.
"Towards the end of this exceptional day our son Craig also had the final trip of the day in the Spitfire so it was the ultimate experience for the two men in my life."
