A TALK will be held in Dorchester on Thursday (11) about the predecessors of the Vicar of Sherborne.

Anecdotes from the Archives – Researching my Predecessors will be a talk by the Reverend Canon Eric Woods at the Dorset History Centre, Bridport Road, Dorchester, at 7.30pm.

Canon Eric Woods was appointed Vicar of Sherborne in 1993 and has served Sherborne Abbey and its cluster of small churches ever since.

He read Modern History at Magdalen College, Oxford and taught history before taking up a place to read the Theology Tripos at Trinity College, Cambridge. He is a Trustee of the Dorset Archives Trust.

The talk will be held after a members-only AGM for the Dorset Archives Trust which begins at 6.30pm.
