IT'S time to enjoy another old postcard from the collection of Andy Hutchings.
Here we can see the aftermath of an emergency landing in Weymouth Bay. On Tuesday June 24 1924, a Westland Walrus plane of the Fleet Air Arm took off from Chickerell airfield with three crew members.
Shortly after take off one of the wheels fell off and the crew decided to bring the plane down in Weymouth Bay. Here you can see that the rescue boats are in attendance and an interested crowd looks on.
Thanks to Andy for another interesting look back at the past.
