We've got a very interesting photo to share thanks to Looking Back reader Janet Wareham of Sydling St Nicholas.
It dates back to 1989 and is of Charles Street in Dorchester before it was demolished.
You can see that most of the windows are boarded up with residents having left their homes.
The houses were knocked down to make way for a car park for the town centre.
In recent years there have been plans for development of a new retail area for Dorchester on the Charles Street site. The scheme was to include new Waitrose and Marks and Spencer stores but developers pulled out blaming construction costs and archaeology requirements.
