HONOUR: Patrick Charlton and Rosalyn Guard of Environs Partnership receive awards from Nick Crane, right
A POUNDBURY firm’s efforts to improve the landscape has led to the presentation of a prestigious award.
Environs Partnership was landscape designer for phase two of the Lyme Regis Environmental Improvements project, which beat off competition from nominees such as Heathrow Terminal 5 to win a British Association of Landscape Industries award.
It was also commended at the Landscape Institute Awards in the Design category. Environs is also celebrating the approval by the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) of Gwynt-y-Mor, which will be the second largest offshore wind farm in the world. Gwynt-y-Mor will be one of four wind farms on the North Wales coast which combined will have the potential to power the equivalent of around 680,000 homes with green electricity.
