IT’S no joke – television funnyman Clive Anderson wants your old Christmas cards.
He has teamed up with the Woodland Trust for a recycling scheme.
Residents can drop off their cards in special bins at WH Smith, Tesco, Marks & Spencer and TK Maxx throughout January.
Last year Dorset collected 883,000 cards which enabled the Woodland Trust to plant 209 trees.
Clive Anderson, who is the President of the Woodland Trust, said: “I always feel sorry for Christmas cards. They’re lovingly sent out by the sack full, cherished for a month or so, then dumped into landfill in January.
“So this year I’d like to challenge Dorset residents to recycle as many as they can.
“Remember, the more cards you recycle the more trees the Woodland Trust will be able to plant.”
