| TOP Pharmacist: Boots' Ian Gatrall |
WHEN it comes to caring for his customers, Bridport chemist Ian Gatrall has the prescription for success.
He has just been named Boots' Pharmacist of the Year' in its national recognition awards.
The 31-year-old father of two was presented with the best of the best' trophy when he attended the firm's gala prizegiving night at Telford.
He was one of four regional finalists.
"I didn't know beforehand - it was quite a shock, but very nice," he said.
Mr Gatrall said the award recognised good customer care and hard work.
Regional and head office chiefs have assessed his work over the past six months and he had lots of ongoing checks with visits from mystery shoppers' and lots of anonymous' phone calls asking for advice.
Now he and his wife Jo, a pharmacy technician who works part-time at the Bridport branch, are working out how to spend his prize of £2,000 in travel vouchers. He said: "We'll no doubt be winging our way somewhere exotic".
