| GREEN AS POSSIBLE: Margie Barbour |
By MARGIE BARBOUR
Artistic director of the Marine Theatre,
Lyme Regis
We are as green as we can be.
We had a very interesting visit at home from someone from West Dorset District Council who talked us through all the recycling symbols on plastic food containers and bottles.
Now as well as recycling glass bottles and paper, we also recycle the containers for food such as tomatoes, which is very exciting.
At the theatre we recycle all the bottles we use in the bar and we recycle the paper we use in the office. We recently changed the bulbs to low-energy ones as well.
The theatre is a huge supporter of the Turn Lyme Green campaign and I have been taking pictures of the stars who visit, people like Barry Norman, walking into the theatre with the gorgeous Turn Lyme Green fabric bags with an ammonite on. I will get as many photos as I can and then make a collage out of them in the theatre foyer.
