A great start for awareness week
9:16am today
A HUGE thank you to the organisers of Pennsylvania Castle Plant and Craft Fair. It was a wonderful event and gave our local breast feeding support group, based at Community 2000 Portland, a chance to raise much needed funds and kick start a week of activities during Breast Feeding Awareness Week.

Concept of concept of police serving the public is alive and well
3:43pm Friday 9th May 2008
I READ with interest Mike Joslin's contribution to the on-going discussion in relation to policing priorities ('Why public want bobbies on beat', Echo, April 29), particularly so as he raised many new issues that had not been raised by the previous correspondent.

You've missed the point over a flag for Dorset
7:35pm Thursday 8th May 2008
I take issue with John Neimer's comments regarding a new Dorset Flag (Echo, May 5). Mr Neimer seems to have completely missed the point here.
