6:15pm Friday 9th May 2008
SENIOR citizens attending Dorset Adult Learning courses have recently been sent a letter by the service saying that their current feeconcession will end as such a concession is in breach of the EmploymentEquality (Age) Regulations 2006.

Concept of concept of police serving the public is alive and well
3:43pm Friday 9th May 2008
I READ with interest Mike Joslin's contribution to the on-going discussion in relation to policing priorities ('Why public want bobbies on beat', Echo, April 29), particularly so as he raised many new issues that had not been raised by the previous correspondent.

Direct action is needed to stop this threat to Portland
11:04am Thursday 8th May 2008

10:37am Thursday 8th May 2008
The Table Top Sale held at Lanehouse Methodist Church Hall on Saturday, April 26 raised an amazing £518. Finally a big thank you to the many people who came along and supported this very worthwhile cause.

7:09pm Wednesday 7th May 2008
In response to the letter Crack down on drunken crime' from C. J. Neil, of Dorchester (Echo, April, 29), I too am concerned about the wide availability of cheap alcohol and the problems it causes.

Laugh-a-minute show was fantastic
10:55am Wednesday 7th May 2008
Having decided against another boring evening in front of the television watching the same old programmes, my wife and I went along to the Pavilion on Saturday evening with our friends to watch Weymouth Drama club's Amateur production of 'Allo 'Allo.

Have a tea party and help an animal charity
10:52am Wednesday 7th May 2008
I am writing as a supporter of Britain's pet charity, The Blue Cross, to invite you pop the kettle on and take part in a nationwide tea party to help needy pets.

Selfish attitude among more senior citizens
6:05pm Tuesday 6th May 2008
I was astounded at the unbelievably selfish attitude adopted by your interviewees in the article Panic at pumps over petrol shortage fears' (Echo, April 28).
