Why our political system will never change

Finally a reader of our Echo (We've too much local government' by Colin Lucas, Echo, April 25) has seen the light as to how us taxpayers are funding a system which must date back over 100 years and as each year goes by is costing more.

I FEEL I must respond to the letter Camera vehicles are parked legally' (Echo, April 25) from Pat Garrett of the Dorset Safety Camera Partnership. This particularly arrogant and condescending reply sums up the worries of what appears to be the vast majority of road users.

If anything, Radipole road changes have made it worse

I have to say I fully agree with Mrs S L Seal's letter What a waste of taxpayers' money' (Echo, May 2) concerning the new road layout.

Why not fly the county flag we've already got?

Getting events off the ground around the little seaside town of Weymouth can be a nightmare, as anyone who has attempted it will tell you.

I would like to compliment the Westham Cops community group on the tremendous fete and display of local history that they put on for the Westham 125 party.

Think about it - what's the alternative to Pavilion regeneration?

I am becoming tired of the constant whinging and criticism of the Pavilion development from a group of people who obviously have their own selfish reasons for stopping this much needed regeneration.

TWO years ago, with my husband, I managed to go to every Status Quo concert on the UK winter tour, a total of 31 concerts in 6 weeks. I met so many people that had stories to tell about their experiences of seeing Status Quo.

COULD anyone help me in my search for old milk bottles that were used for retailing milk between 1930-1970 and would have shown the retailers name and location.
