Chapelhay needs an escalator

Chapelhay is seen differently by different folk, ludicrously so.

It is a delightful place occupied by ordinary people getting on with their lives.

There is just one thing wrong – the council have not yet installed the Chapelhay Steps escalator.

Not a day goes by without someone lamenting at its lack.

The new shop TK Maxx, which replaced Woolworths put up a super escalator in a few weeks.

While this project is different in scale, there is still time to complete this before the Olympics (I’m thinking, perhaps, the world will go on after the Olympics).

Weymouth and the world will be a better place when the escalator is working.
