IT is now common knowledge that the players of Weymouth Football Club offered to pay travelling expenses to the loyal supporters who travelled to Hednesford after their 9-0 defeat.
What an incredible gesture – how many other players or teams would offer to do that?
I was one of those supporters on the coach and had no hesitation to thank Ian Hutchinson and the players, but I declined their very kind offer.
I love following Weymouth Football Club both home and away even though at times it may cost me a pound or two.
Ian Hutchinson and Andy Mason seem to have a good set of loyal players.
Yes, they were very disappointed and I dare say a bit embarrassed after the game – and even on the coach on the way home – but I expect lessons would have been learned.
I and other loyal supporters will still be standing on the terraces through the good times, as well as the not so good times, cheering on ‘our’ team.
Why?
Because we love Weymouth Football Club.
Keep the effort going and thanks again lads.
