Olympics are so much disruption (From Dorset Echo)

Here we go again another moaning minny.
Course it won't benefit you if you don't put anything towards it.
It's like life if you don't put any effort in to it you will not get anything out of it.

If I rent out my drive, where am i going to park my car???I suggest you have a large drive in Wembley!!

The Olympic Games is a major international event in which thousands of athletes participate in a variety of competitions. The Olympic Games have come to be regarded as the world’s foremost sports competition where more than 200 nations participate.

The Games have grown in scale to the point that nearly every nation is represented. The Games also constitute a major opportunity for the host city and country to showcase itself to the world.

In July, August and September of this year, our small and insignificant town will be the centre of attention. Every television in the world will be showing the games - Thats about 1.4 trillion people watching. This summer the games will be visited by 200 heads of state. Queens, Kings and presidents will be here watching.

This is a unique opportunity for our town.

Hundreds of similar towns and sailing venues across the world are envious of us. They all wish that they could have been afforded the opportunity to hold this prestigious games - but they cannot.

Our small town will never hold the games again - ever. This is our one chance to grasp this opportunity. Lets not get to October and think to ourselves.....Oh? I wish I had done that differently.I missed the chance to gain from that.

Grasp this chance now.... don't regret missing it.

Not counting 'stand on Weymouth beach' or 'be a volunteer', neither of which would benefit me in any way.
