Laser show was a disappointment

A friend phoned at 10pm last night and said if I looked out of my (sea view) window I would see the lasers display.

All I saw was a thin bluey green light following along the line of waves shining from the pavilion end of the beach towards Bowleaze.

A couple of minutes and it had stopped.

If that is all it is going to be, bring back to the fairy lights asap. I enjoyed more, a complete rainbow from the stone pier to Bowleaze, earlier on in the afternoon!

Come on, let's be fair this was just some testing.
I would be as keen as anyone (except W&PBC) to have a new string of LED fairy lights but we should wait until the laser show is up and running before critcising. I think I read that it is due to be up and running by July 2011 so just minus 10 months to wait.

Just google weymouth lasers and you will see many photo's submitted by individuals and the media which, given only a few at a time were "on", looks most impressive. Once all of them are active and working, I think we will all have a bit of a surprise.

Maybe it was a quick test after some of the work done by a certain local electrician during thier installation was corrected.
