'Improvements' have not helped Radipole Village road safety one bit

I have to say what a total waste of tax payers money the so-called improvements are in Radipole Village.

There are give way markings and a sign warning to give way to oncoming traffic that you can't actually see because it is around the corner!

The road has been narrowed in two places at either end of the village, but travel through the village hasn't changed at all. It is still two-way around a very bendy, narrow road.

On reaching the second give way' markings and sign on the Spa Road end of the village cars do not slow down, let alone stop to allow on coming traffic through.

I found this to be the case the other morning, almost to my cost, when the 4x4 driver was owning' the road and came hurtling through at around 40mph.

Traffic lights should have been installed at the places where the road has been narrowed - at least then you would know that there would be no oncoming traffic speeding through the village and around the bends.

I'm sorry to say that I don't think that the accidents will stop because I feel that the problem has not been dealt with at all.

Mrs S L Seal Field Barn Drive, Southill.
