If anything, Radipole road changes have made it worse
I have to say I fully agree with Mrs S L Seal's letter What a waste of taxpayers' money' (Echo, May 2) concerning the new road layout.
When I travelled for the first time since it was done, I thought what a stupid waste of time.It has not improved the safety aspect at all.
How on earth can you give way to on coming traffic if you cannot see round the bend?
Traffic lights would be the best option - although people moan at traffic lights everyone gets a fair chance.
Even from the other direction it's not safe, you are nearly in the middle of the road as people come round the turn. It's a total waste of time and money; perhaps the council should get new traffic ideas people as the ones they have are utterly useless.
For goodness sake do something before an accident now not in 10 years time, as we know road decisions take so long in Dorset.
LYNDA GOODWIN,
Lynch Road,
Weymouth.
That letter written by Mrs Seal mirrored my sentiments to the very last word.
What a total waste of money and manpower - if anything it has made the situation worse. Like Mrs Seal, the cars cannot stop and give way round a corner you can't see round.
My husband and I both thought as Mrs Seal did that traffic lights would be better.
I feel that accidents will increase in the future if something is not done.
MRS D ELLIS,
Wentworth Close,
Weymouth.
