Good luck with the Sea Change bid
I REFER to the article Resort set to bid for share of £45m fund' (Echo, April 29).
Weymouth can wake up to a new, hoped for, promise from the Sea Change Fund scheme!
It is brilliant news that the scheme is designed to specifically fund theatres and harbours - surely our very own Pavilion is in line for this!
Very importantly, there is the deadline of June 30 for applying. So, even though this application may well involve a lot of hard work to assemble, good luck to the council - and get us to the church on time!
FRANCIA MILRAY HARDMAN,
Carlton Road South,
Weymouth.

I believe the scheme is specifically aimed at [italic]cultural projects which will act as a catalyst for regeneration.[/italic]
Fortunately the scheme is being administered by CABE and not by either W&PBC or "the local community".
Lets face were it either of the latter then the Pavilion or the equivalent is what the town would be permitted to propose and settle for. Twenty five years on people would still be complaining about the regeneration that never happened.
