Thanks for supporting bid for new Underhill school
THE representatives of the Underhill Forum would like to thank local council officials for overlooking their political differences and showing collective support for the new school build at the Marpol site.
The forum wea in attendance at the recent day of action on Sunday gathering signatures and were pleased to receive backing from Tim Munro, Richard Denton-White and Sandy West. The councillors all agreed that the DCC should seriously consider investing in a new Underhill school.
The forum has been highlighting this issue over the last month within the community. Petitions are still available for signing at the Fortuneswell Post Office and via the forum by email at underhillportland@btinternet.com.
Our thanks to all who showed us their support; arrangements are underway for the next meeting where we will establish a working committee. Email the forum if you are not on our mailing list and would like to become involved or kept informed.
Sarah Whiteside,
Underhill Forum,
Fortuneswell,
Portland.
