We're not discouraging anyone from visiting town
I would like to reassure anyone intending to visit Dorchester that the local police do not intend in any way to discourage anyone from visiting the town and enjoying the many and varied facilities it has to offer.
I am proud to say that Dorchester is a very safe town and the local police, together with all our partners, will continue to strive to make it so.
It's unfortunate that the writer committed a motoring offence in the town but I'd like to remind everyone that safety cameras are in place to ensure the safety of motorists and pedestrians alike.
Inspector Les Fry,
Dorchester Section Commander,
Dorset Police.
