AN INJECTION of enthusiasm and £6,000 should see Bridport's carnival bigger and better than ever this year.
If all goes to plan, sea monsters, clown fish and Neptune himself will be pedalling the streets on their bicycles. People with creative ideas but nowhere to carry them out are invited to join in a series of workshops to bring them to life.
Project manager Leon Edwards said: "We are hoping that this will give people with the ideas somewhere to come and create them. We want it to be inclusive for locals and holidaymakers and have a real circus feel."
Bridport Arts Centre, Bridport TLC, local businesses, church groups, bike clubs and youth organisations are raising funds for the workshops. One week of workshops will also concentrate on providing opportunities to build lanterns for the Bridport to West Bay Lantern parade on Sunday, August 17.
