TALK OF THE CLOWN: Mr Custard makes a balloon dove at the Pentecost party
CLOWNING and Christianity were combined at a Pentecost Party in West Bay.
The Rev Roly Bain, also known as Roly the clown, topped the bill during Sunday's family fun afternoon organised by Churches Together in Bridport and District.
Mr Custard was also there to entertain the youngsters with his balloon creations.
And other attractions on Harbour Green included games, face-painting and craft-making for children, and performances by the Wildfire! choir.
Prayers were written and attached to balloons which were released at the end of the afternoon.
A spokeswoman for the organisers said it had been a lovely afternoon and 'hopefully brought the spirit of Pentecost to the community'.

The Rev Roly was a big hit with the youngsters, she said, skilfully combining his circus act with a Christian message for the grown-ups.
