ELTON John tribute singer Ed Hintz amazed children at a Weymouth primary school who believed the real celebrity was at their summer fete.
More than 400 people attended the event at Beechcroft St Paul's Primary School in Corporation Road, which offered pupils the chance to soak their teacher with a wet sponge.
Other highlights included steam train rides, a display by Weymouth and Portland Taekwondo Club and dance performance as well as the usual stalls selling cream teas and smoothies.
Headteacher Sarah Sprague said: "It was opened by Ed Hintz, the Elton John tribute, and the kids thought he actually was Elton John which was lovely.
"Soaking the teacher was very popular. The weather held fine. There was a tiny rain shower and then it cleared.
"I think actually it's the best summer fair we've ever had in terms of the variety of different stalls and activities the children could watch. It really was great in that respect."
