Firefighters are pumping water from Radipole Lake, near the Westham Bridge in Weymouth.
A nearby restaurant has been flooded.
A spokesman for Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said they will be on scene until at least 6pm this evening.

Flooding has now been cleared on the A35 between the Froom's Lane junction in Bere Regis and the B3075 Quarr Hill junction in East Morden.

Some drivers appeared to ignore the signs after flooding on the West Stafford bypass closed the road.

The First Bus 9.35am 387 service from Poole to Dorchester is running around 30 minutes late.

Firefighters from Maiden Newton assisted two people stuck in a vehicle on the A37 at Grimstone this morning and pushed it to safety.
Crews from Dorchester and Weymouth helped a woman stuck in a car at West Stafford.
Weymouth firefighters also joined crews from Bere Regis and Wareham to reports of a caravan floating down river.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service was also called to Burley Road in Winkton to assist two vehicles stuck in flood water and an elderly woman stuck inside.

A temporary road closure is in place on the Bredy Road B3157 junction at Burton Bradstock due to flooding.

There is flooding on the A352 at Charminster.

There is disruption to the First Bus service 6 to Radipole Village, Weymouth. The bus turning area in Radipole Village is flooded and that stop is not being served.

The Environment Agency has placed a flood alert on the River Way from Upwey to Weymouth, including Nottington and to Radipole Lake and Preston Brook.

South West trains passengers are facing disruption this morning as a result of heavy rainfall.
Trains are not currently able to operate between Brockenhurst and Bournemouth.
Because of this, the following changes will apply until further notice:
• Services from London Waterloo will terminate at Southampton Central / Brockenhurst.
• A train 'shuttle' will run between Bournemouth and Weymouth
• There are no South West Trains services between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst
• Buses have been requested to run between Bournemouth and Brockenhurst
• CrossCountry services may be delayed by up to 60 minutes
A spokeswoman for the South West Trains-Network Rail Alliance, said: "We apologise to our customers for the disruption to their services this morning which is due to flooding caused by heavy rain overnight.
“We are working hard to restore services in these areas as quickly as possible, although we do expect services to be disrupted throughout the morning peak.
"We are providing updates for our customers through our website as well as our @SW_Trains Twitter feed and our staff are providing information and assisting customers at our stations."

There is flooding on the A35, Dorchester at Monkeys Jump roundabout.
There is also flooding on the A35 in both directions between the Froom's Lane junction in Bere Regis and the B3075 Quarr Hill junction in East Morden.
Traffic is slow along the A352 at the Church Lane junction, Wareham Road, Owermoigne because of flooding.

Burton Road in East Burton is closed in both directions between the A352 Dorchester Road junction and the East Burton Road junction, because of flooding.

Dorset Fire and Rescue Service is warning residents not to travel through flood water after assisting three stuck cars and a van this morning.
Firefighters were called to Binden Lane, Wool, Holt Road in Three Legged Cross and Magna Road, Canford Magna.
A spokesman said: "Please take extreme care whilst driving through parts of flooding and do not attempt to pass through any flood water as you could be risking your own life as well as others."
