BOVINGTON Fiirst School has scored top marks again in its latest Ofsted report.
The school was rated as ‘outstanding’ by inspectors, repeating the success of its previous report three years ago.
The Holt Road school, which has around 180 pupils, received top marks in almost every area of inspection including achievement and standards, personal development and well-being and leadership and management.
The inspectors’ report stated: “The level of care, guidance and support for our pupils provides the basis for their outstanding development and well-being.”
The report also recognised the hard work of staff to help children learn.
It said: “Children make outstanding progress in all year groups because high quality teaching caters very effectively for the needs of all pupils, regardless of their ability or gender.”
Headteacher Juliet Muir and her deputy Tracy Jones were singled out for particular praise in the report.
The inspectors said: “At the heart of the school’s success are outstanding leadership and management, especially those of the headteacher, who is held in high regard by parents and provides a clear vision for school improvement.”
Mrs Muir said: “I am absolutely delighted the Ofsted inspectors confirmed what we knew, that this is an outstanding school in every way.
“I would like to thank the staff, the parents and the governors for all their support.”
