HONEY the dog has found a new home after appearing in the Echo’s Give A Pet A Home page.

The eight-month-old German shepherd is now living with the Legg family at Crockway, near Frampton, who adopted two cats from Paws just a few weeks ago.

Paul and Kathy Legg said they knew that Honey was the dog for them as soon as they saw her in the Echo.

Mr Legg, 63, said: “This is not something we do every day and we only ever take in pets from the heart.

“When I saw Dexter in the Echo I knew he was just our kind of cat and Paws asked us if we could take on another one after its new home fell through.

“Then last week I was looking through the Echo as usual and we’d always wanted an alsatian. I saw Honey and again we just knew she was the one.

“Everything about her seemed perfect and she’s now doing very well.”
