Three people left in trance after hypnotist's accident
2:19pm Saturday 4th June 2011 in Local News
THREE people were left in a trance after a hypnotist knocked himself out during a show on Portland.
Entertainer David Days, from Weymouth, was performing to a crowd at the Royal Manor Theatre on Friday night when he tripped over an audience member's leg.
He was in the middle of bringing people out of a trance at the end of his show.
The audience was asked to leave the theatre but they initially thought the commotion was all part of the act and applauded.
They finally left while three people on stage remained 'asleep.'
Luckily, Mr Days, 37, came round after a few minutes and recovered enough to bring the three participants out of their hypnotic state.
Mr Days - who performs magic and hynotist shows around the area - was shunning the limelight today.
His manager Tara Nix said he was fine although the experience had 'damaged his ego a bit.'
Full story in Monday's Echo.

It's like hypnotherapy, only every time I fancy a smoke, a little German bloke shouts at me until I get the urge to invade Poland.

Reminds me of Gerard Hoffnung's bricklayer story!
Perhaps you could explain the connection to the rest of us, please...

Back on topic - The old adage in Show business is 'Any publicity is good publicity' - I believe that a similar event may have happened previously. When it hits the national papers then maybe it will stir a memory in someone else's mind.

If hes got another 'rabbit up his sleeve' so to speak he could be the next big magician, amazing how this one small show on Portland can become world news in such a short space of time
