Best of Dorset show launched for 'rollercoaster' summer

A SHOW that will demonstrate what Wey- mouth and Portland has to offer visitors this year has been officially launched.
The twelfth Best of Dorset Show will see tourism businesses showcasing their services and facilities ahead of what has been billed a ‘rollercoaster ride’ of a summer season.
There will be around 40 stands in the Weymouth Pavilion Ocean Room, theatre and forecourt.
A highlight this year will be the Tall Ship Pelican on display for visitors to tour.
The Weymouth and Portland Borough Council event is sponsored by the Riviera Hotel and Epic Printing and the Dorset Echo is proud to be the show’s media partner.
Events and promotions officer Steve Davies said: “It’s going to be a season like no other.
“It’s going to be a real rollercoaster ride and we want everyone on board.”
Bookings for stands are being taken for the 2012 season. Exhibitors should call Charlie Sheppard on 01305 838512. The closing date is February 10.
