AUDITIONS to find the best singer on the south coast will soon be back in Weymouth.

Star Sensations has returned for its fourth year and has already received more than 300 entries from Weymouth hopefuls.

The main prize on offer is the chance to release a record on worldwide digital download by Ispirato Music Label co-written by Helena Mace and the winner.

All prizes are on offer to both age categories, 16 and under and 17 and over, with further chances to win cash and gain industry support.

Star sensations Ambassador Helen Mace said: “There has been so much talent from Weymouth already, we may have to add extra dates.

“The competition is really fun and it’s a great opportunity for someone to release their own record.

“Many enter every year and if they have entered before we put them right through to the live shows.”

The competition grows each year and is judged by industry experts including agents and recording artists.

John Griffiths, an adult finalist of 2011, said: “Star Sensations is the most professional, yet fun and relaxed competition I have ever entered.”

Debbie Jury, mother of ‘Little Stars’ finalist Olivia Jury, 16, said: “The standard of the young talent just gets better every year.

“She always enjoys the whole experience.”

This year Star Sensations is moving further afield, holding auditions in Bournemouth, Southampton, Isle of Wight, South Wales and Weymouth.

Ms Mace added that Star Sens-ations were proud to support the Samaritans as this year’s chosen charity.

Auditions cost £10 and will be held in Weymouth at the Centenary club on Jubilee road on the April 23 and 24 or applicants can audition by sending video entries or YouTube links via starsensations.co.uk If successful at this stage the applicant will be entered automatically into a live heat with a chance of making it to the grand final.

such a fantastic competition, and boasts so much for local communities and businesses. Not to mention creating an opening for talented people to create, start and extend themselves. Very proud to have worked alongside Helena and the starsensations team in the past, and wish them and all the contestants the best in this very relaxed, fair and exciting competition.
