TALENTED Stephen Banks has shot a moving tribute to his new hometown in a Bridport by night-style video.
The 22-year-old, pictured, used long exposure to shoot spectacular shots of Bridport and West Bay – including many shots with stars and blazes of lights.
Stephen, who moved to the market town a year ago, braved cold nights over the past four months shooting footage for the time lapse-style video.
He said: “I’ve been working on it since October. It has been very cold although it has been absolutely worth it.”
Stephen, originally from Liverpool, is a digital executive at Watershed PR in Bridport.
He used a wide lens on a Nikon camera with about 30-second ex-posures per frame – staying out for up to two hours at a time to gain just five or six seconds worth of footage.
Scenes include seascapes, the Jurassic Coast, St Mary’s Church, Bridport Town Hall, and West Bay.
Stephen said: “I love the place. It’s a good tribute to Bridport.”
The film has already created a buzz on YouTube and Twitter but Stephen has also approached Bridport Arts Centre about screening it there.
He hopes to score 12,977 views on YouTube – the population of Bridport.
