TA and Navy team up for Heroes fundraiser

A NIGHT of entertainment is being held in Dorchester to raise funds for injured servicemen.
Local representatives from the Territorial Army (TA) and the Navy will be at Goldies in High East Street for a Help for Heroes fundraiser on Sunday, April 29.
The event starts at 4pm and will include a buffet and prize draw as well as musical entertainment.
Organiser Nicky Lister, a former member of the Royal Air Force, said as well as raising money for Help for Heroes he wants to promote awareness of local TA members and other servicemen who are serving on the front line in Afghanistan.
He said: “Hopefully we will have a couple of lads from the TA here in Dorchester who have served in Afghanistan come along and a Navy chap.”
Entry to the event is free.
