A £2.5MILLION scheme to lay a new water main is underway near Dorchester.
Wessex Water says the pipe will run from Lambert’s Hill reservoir to its treatment works in Winterbourne Abbas.
The work involves constructing a water main through fields in Winterbourne Abbas, near the A35.
Project manager Joe Edmunds said: “To minimise disruption we will use trenchless techniques where possible. This will ensure minimal impact.”
