A DOG owner from Dorchester is celebrating after getting a first place finish at her first time attending Crufts.
Charlotte Warren-Sinclaire's Border Collie, Fallon, came first in the Post Graduate - Bitch class earlier this month.
Fallon finished top of the class in a group which featured 25 entries.
Almost 22,000 dogs were expected to compete at this year's event overall, with the number of dogs coming from overseas almost reaching 3,000.
Ms Warren Sinclaire, who attended with her partner, said they couldn't believe the result.
She said: "It's the first time I've been to Crufts. She had gone to Crufts with her previous owner.
“She's two and a half now. She went last year when she was about 18 months old.
“I thought I might have got placed but I wasn't expecting a first.
“It felt pretty incredible actually. She moved really nicely for me on the day.
“My other half was on the sidelines and he was just as nervous as me."
“She's pretty laid back. She's very happy and easy going. She loves people. Even if she comes across children she has to lick them to death.
“She's fitted into the family really well.”
