POLICE are asking residents to be vigilant after reports of rogue traders in the county town.
During the past week police have heard from residents in the local area who say they have been left feeling ‘intimidated’ after house visits from a gardening or tree surgeon company.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: “Recently we have received several complaints of a gardening and tree surgeon company driving a white transit van in the area.
“They have approached residential properties about possible garden work and have been intimidating towards local residents.”
Anyone who experiences this type of incident should call trading standards on 01305 224012, email standards@dorsetcc.gov.uk or call Dorchester Police on 01305 101 providing with as much information as possible such as descriptions, vehicle details and company details.
