Hi readers.

Well, hellooooo there ladies…..this week you might be hoping for a Valentine’s card or perhaps even a bunch of flowers.

We would love to send our love something special this week but as we are both single, we’re going to talk about finding our true love instead!

The thing is, approaching ladies is nerve wracking. I, (Adam) often find myself using comedy to break the ice and though I’m ok at jokes, can find my words get muddled as I’m so nervous!

For me (William) if a lady seems nice, I might offer to buy her a drink. I also get nervous so may have a beer first to pluck up courage. If she says no, I know quickly to move on.

We’ve both met girlfriends through the Friendship Club and although they sadly didn’t work out, it was a good experience. Meeting ladies outside of safe places like the Friendship Club is hard. We feel a bit like bruised apples, as ladies don’t really give us a chance, as most don’t look at us in a romantic way.

Check out the movie Shallow Hal. It’s about a man seeking love. A spell cast on him means he only sees beauty from the inside. When the spell is broken he has a big shock as he discovers the woman he’s fallen in love with is overweight and not the beautiful, slim person he believed she was. He quickly dumps her. However, after a while he realises that not only does he really miss her, he’s fallen in love with her.

So if you’re single and looking for love, someone you don’t see as outwardly beautiful might just have an inner beauty you fall in love with.

Our message today - don’t judge the book by the cover, give everyone a chance!
