A PLAY about the pressures faced by young people today in the wake of advancing technology is coming to Dorchester next week.

Dorchester Youth Theatre's production Girls Like That will be performed at the Corn Exchange on July 13 and 14.

This is an urgent and explosive new play about Scarlett, who becomes the centre of attention when her naked photo goes viral.

Cast member Sarah Dodd said: "The hard hitting storyline has given us many challenges, yet very much brought us together as its a subject many young people can identify with.

"By flashbacks to the past, it shows that in many ways some things have not changed for women over the past century."

Director Jo Simons added: "It has has been great to work on a full ensemble piece with our oldest DYT company members."

The performance, by the senior members of DYT, follows on from the successful performances from their junior and intermediate companies last week. Dorchester Youth Theatre performance company come to the stage next week with something very different.

n Performances are on Weds 13th and Thursday 14th July, at the Corn Exchange, Dorchester.

Doors open at 7pm with performances at 7.30pm.
