GEOFF ACHISON AND THE UK SOULD DIGGERS
EVERSHOT VILLAGE HALL
THIS was a very welcome return to Dorset for this highly regarded Australian guitarist.
I had seen him several times in the 2000s andwas keen to see him perform.
His backing band, all top class musicians, are Sam Kelly on drums, Paul Jobson on keyboards and Andy Hodge on five string bass.
The music ranged through blues, funk, soul to rock, but all delivered with an original twist!
Each number was an extended workout allowing all the musicians to stretch out and strut their stuff.
This was a performance of an international standard and it certainly stunned a number of people in the audience.
This was an excellent show. Do catch Geoff when he tours next year!
